White Hot Hate: A True Story of Domestic Terrorism in America’s Heartland

The men of the Kansas Security Force (KSF) were clamoring for change in the United States. A mass shooting that occurred at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando in June 2016 raised their hackles. The shooter’s Muslim background inflamed their anger. A few members of the KSF were growing wary of the immigrants arriving and settling into Kansas, particularly Garden City. They felt that the state and federal governments were being too lenient in letting immigration go unchecked. They were prepared to take action.

Dan Day had taken notice of the more zealous types and decided to do something. Day reached out to the FBI and began to infiltrate a plot to unleash a weapon of mass destruction in his home state. His dual life would bring him close to the edge as he went further into the plotting.

White Hot Hate is the latest in a string of thought-provoking reads from investigative journalist Dick Lehr (Black Mass). The action and drama of this real-life tale are relayed by Lehr in a linear fashion, but he brings out the tension as the investigation inches further and further to its conclusion. This is a no-holds-barred trip into the world of intolerance.
